What is Craniosacral therapy?
We store both emotional and physical tension in our bodies; be it every day stresses, big life events or physical injuries. Craniosacral therapy is a profoundly effective and gentle way of releasing tensions and trauma, allowing us to move with freedom and ease and to connect to a much deeper sense of safety within.
During your appointment you will lie fully clothed on a treatment couch whilst I connect with your craniosacral system, via contact with the head, feet, trunk and/or sacrum.
The treatment is usually very relaxing, leaving you with a deep sense of calm. Talking therapy can help reset your thoughts; craniosacral therapy can help you to reconnect with a sense of safety within your body.

Discovering the balance within
Who is Craniosacral therapy for?
Benefits of Craniosacral therapy
Stress and Anxiety

The state of our nervous system is formed in our childhood. Craniosacral therapy is an extremely effective way of learning to recognise when your nervous system is activated and to move out of fight or flight. This enables a deep sense of safety within your body.
Migraines/Headaches
Tension and restrictions in the cranium and neck can contribute to persistent headaches and migraines. Unwinding fascia in the neck and shoulders can help ease symptoms.

Babies
Being born naturally compresses the soft bones of the newborn's cranium. Gentle, therapeutic Craniosacral therapy can help babies release tension and trauma from birth, regulate their nervous system and improve feeding, sleep and digestion.
Trauma
Emotional and physical trauma leaves an imprint in the body that can be gently released during Craniosacral therapy. Healing isn't about erasing your past, it's about proving to your nervous system that it's over.
Fatigue/Low Energy
We are made of energy. Every tissue in our bodies emanates a bio-electric field. We respond to each other energetically. Trapped emotions distort and block the flow of energy in our bodies. Fatigue symptoms can respond well to Craniosacral therapy.
Fascial Restrictions/ Chronic Pain
Every part of our body is woven together via a network of connected tissue called fascia. Restricted fascia can cause pain, restrict mobility and contribute to nervous system dysregulation. When fascial tension decreases, the nervous system can more easily find balance, chronic pain can be reduced and free mobility restored.
